Office of Vocations at 601 S. Jefferson, Springfield, MO 65806 US - Vocation Prayer

Heavenly Father, in your great love You gave me life,
and entrusted me to my parents and family.
And, more than this, You gave your only begotten Son, Jesus,
to die for me on the cross.
Father, help me to return my love for You by following
the path You want me to take in life.
I know that unless I take this path, I never will be truly happy.
If You want me to be a priest of Jesus Christ . . . show me, Father;
If You want me to be a religious sister or brother . . . show me, Father;
If You want me to live out my life as a married person . . . show me, Father;
If You want me to live out my life chastely in the Christian single state . . . show me, Father.
All that matters is that I follow the path You have prepared for me.
Send me the light of the Holy Spirit that I may find the path that pleases You.
Speak to my heart and help me to hear You. 
Mary, my Mother, aid me with your prayers.
My Guardian Angel, guide me and protect me.  Amen.
